Surely a great guitarist, thanks from Brazil!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a great guitarist!!! I've heard this from Freddie Cannon and Bob Moore of the 'original' Temptations. Bob said "he is the best guitarist I have ever seen"! The Temptations were from New Jersey and met him while doing a show in Boston way back when and your dad played a few songs with them. The Temptations' biggest record was Birds 'n Bees on Parkway. When Bob Moore met him Roy Buchanan was their lead guitarist and Bob said your dad was better than Roy! This says a lot about your dad's talent! I'm glad I could share this with you. Here's the link to that record: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_PuTgqqwvQ Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYour dad sat in one night at the Intermission. Bobby Simone couldn't get up from the dressing room in the basement so Roger asked Kenny if he'd sit in. I can't remember if I was playing horn or bass that night but I did see him play with his feet.
